Agideas day 1

Agideas finally started!!!!
It was an awesome day! Illustrators, animators, typographers, industrial designers all in one place.
The event was sold out again :) 5000 participants all together this year!
I ve learned about lighting designers :O People who take care about lighting. They are the masters of giving the final touch, the special mood and magic to objects, spaces and places.

The most inspiring speaker today was Glenn Melenhorst! Oh my God this guy is simply amaziiiiing! His 3D skills, drawing skills, coloring skills are top of the top!
I was searching for some of his works (online) to show you, however I cant find any (except for some short animations).

We received the Agideas book and it is getting year by year thicker and heavier ;) Which I really dont mind! It has awesome info and a great review of all the speakers.

One of the things everyone was pointing out was, that we should train our brain. To sketch every single idea we get (even if during lunch). To not let those special moments of inspiration passing by.
I also decided that I will do more sketches, more exercises every day. I will sketch at least one quick drawing every day. Even if only a face or a chibi... The aim is to exercise my hand and stop being too picky on when taking my time to draw. The problem is that I usually never draw if I dont have a very clear idea about a drawing. And that is bad! Cause sometimes I dont draw for months :/

Anyway, I have already done my daily sketch so I am happy ^^

kk where to start...

1. I bought some more Copics xD and finally started to use them woooot :D For my first real excercise I used a chibi sketch of my old RO character Angelika. And guess what? I bought a new awesome Webcam (Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000) and filmed a big part of the process of my testing Copic picture and made it into a tutorial :D .

2. I am soooooo gonna save up money for my new bjd !!!!!!! I was always a huuuuuge fan of Unoa's but never thought about buying one since is so complicated to order one... however I have done heaps of research and I am ready to step up and fight for one xD
I would like to get an Unoa Lusis like the folowing pictures

Isn't she a gorgeous mold? and whoa her body is simply hot! Large bust makes so sexy xD she can be the perfect model for doing some cool photosessions ^^

Uh I also received Aurora's Art book Brigantine!!!!! xD with her signature as well!!!! Oh god I am such a big fan of her!!! She was the most influential artist in my whole life! I read in her DA journal that her comic will be FINALLY be published in English (USA) sometime in 2009 :D WHOAAAAA I cant cant cant wait to put my hands on her comic!!!!!! I am so excited :D

I am getting more active on Gaiaonline as well... I am already making a new Contest picture.... its just another try to get my soooo wanted OMG hat >____<>

Light Box

woooot xD I wanted one for ages! aaaages!!!! And now I got one!!!! :) It is awesome!!! extremely bright all over the surface :) The seller said the lamp will last up to 20 000 hours :O (well it wasnt a cheap thing to buy, so I hope it will really last that long). I was looking at some alternatives on ebay but I dunno... you never know how strong is the lamp, the quality of the product... I prefer to pay a bit more and knowing in advance about the product and having the chance to try it out before buying. And one more thing, this light box is soooooo thin compared to all the different ones I saw :O *omfg rolls over* xD I luv it !!!

































Moreover I got my third book of the Xeixs art book collection :D "Graphic Design". So far I ve got "Typography" and "Illustration" :) Those are great little reference books!

















Agideas is going to start soon! I am really excited!!!! (http://www.agideas.net/). I received my ticket by post just few days ago :) My bf and two other girlfriends from Uni are coming along as well :3 I must be careful to attend every single day this time (last year I got sick and missed half of it :( ).

YAY :)

20 new Copic Markers for me :) I have most of the skin tones and blues. Now it was time to get pink and purple shades.
I still didn't have the time to try them out on a picture, because I am working on my Flash Game for Uni :O gosh it is taking me ages, I am so tired :(
